Nothing Could Be Finer…

…than to be fired in North Carolina:

testing a wall

CHARLOTTE — An employee at a Myers Park gourmet food store was fired after Gov. Pat McCrory’s security detail complained Sunday about a comment the worker made to the governor.

It seems that the low-paid cook at the store didn’t like the Governor (who does? Maybe dude lives near the poisoned water?), and said “Thanks for nothing” to him, which upset McCrory’s delicate fee-fees, and later he sent his security detail to talk to the owner.

This might seem like a story of customer service gone wrong, but really, a public official with such a thin skin that he would seek retribution for being slighted at a public location?

The mind boggles.

This isn’t exactly about bullying, but it is not exactly not, either. This is about the powerful and the powerless, and McCrory using his position and authority to exact the respect he thinks he deserves. That is not the behavior of a leader, that’s an adolescent boy.

Plain and simple this is about a governor with a very large Ego that needs stroked all the time. Good thing he had security to handle it for him, Apparently his big Ego needs out ways his courage to confront others. Can you say chicken.

Christie Christie (R-Dunkin Donuts) had his staff post YouTube videos of him yelling at people. No word yet that he had any citizen fired for not kissing his fat ass.

Hmmm, Governor using his authority to have critical speech censored by proxy. 1st amendment issue, but of course, the 1A has been reinterpreted by Sarah Palin, Faux News and the conservative blog-o-sphere to mean Thou Shall Not speak bad about right-wing nut jobs

The Governor must be a Christie wanna-be without the guts to yell back, just send in the private militia to have a chat with the ingrate….

McCrory using his position and authority to exact the respect he thinks he deserves.

Me thinks that would be expressed as an inversely proportional equation, mathematically speaking of course.

Anyone else remember when the wingers used to be the tough guys, the “love it or leave it” crowd? Since, oh, when Clinton took office they’ve turned into the biggest whiners with the thinnest skins.

I hope that when these assholes are indicted that the small people they pissed on get great seats in the court room.
