Mmmmm, just in time for Thanksgiving!
(Hat tip: Scissorhead Mr. C. Montgomery Burns)
C’mon, you’ve never had peanut flavored beef satay, Thai-style? Yum.
I don’t know if I need a 4.5 lb. jar (let alone the six-pack that Amazon sells) but I would definitely buy some.
Oh, no, I wouldn’t, not at US$24.99 per 4.5 lb jar. The Peanut Butter topping is a little more reasonable, & I bet it would make a great marinade too.
It’s peanut sauce, damn it, not peanut butter sauce.
Calling peanut sauce, peanut butter sauce, is like calling corn bread, popcorn bread.
This may put me in the culinary minority but that doesn’t strike me as bad. Like M. Bouffant said, it would be a great staple in Pad Thai cuisine. Anyway…
Just wanted to stop by before Mrs. JP and I start dinner to thank you all who’ve stopped by P’ville to help us out during this ongoing trying times. While I’m first and foremost grateful to have Barb and Popeye the surly cat for sharing my life, my readers and erstwhile readers who’ve donated to Pottersville over the years definitely come a close second. Happy Thanksgiving, all!
The sauce itself looks– maybe not so good. But it’s an opportunity to spread the gospel of peanut butter as a condiment. It’s not bad on a hamburger. But on a toasted garlic bagel…. There’s something about slightly charring the little hunks of roasted garlic on the outside that combines quite well with peanut butter (discovered by accident one Sunday morning when I was out of cream cheese and needed something to schmear).
