GOPers: Living in Denial

The ostritch only sticks its head in the sand; the Republicans stick it somewhere else.

A recent survey of rank and file GOPers say, overwhelmingly, that banks and bankers are not at fault for the financial collapse:

There also are partisan gaps in criticism of the banks more broadly – nearly two-thirds of Democrats and independents alike assign [banks] significant blame for the recession, but just under half of Republicans agree. And there’s a similar gap in views of whether banks and related institutions have a responsibility to help Americans who are still struggling with the economy. Seventy-nine percent of Democrats say they do, and again nearly as many independents, 72 percent, agree. It’s also a majority among Republicans, but a much smaller one, 54 percent.

Sadly, the survey did not ask the Republicans who they blame, but I’m sure the Teabaggers will fill in the blanks for us…

  1. As with every other ill in the history of the world, it’s the fault of blacks and Jews. Duh.

But didn’t you know? Beck called Hoover a Democrat! That’s why, ya know, there’s a conservative think tank named after him.

Sorry, I believe he actually called him a “liberal” or “progressive.” But you get the idea… Whatever is good, is conservative!

Welcome to MPS, it is good to have you with us.

Yes, I suppose that the Teabaggers and the GOP will return to a favorite theme of Clinton’s penis to blame.

      Regards,
