In her own words…

all of my time working for [Chimpy], I noticed that President Bush did not see people as “Muslims” any more than he saw them as Jews or Christians or Buddhists or atheists. He saw them as individuals, each with God-given value, each deserving the universal gift of freedom. The people of the Middle East should be treated with dignity not because they are Muslims, but because they are human beings. And it was on that premise that President Bush reached out to them.

And in a nutshell, maybe that was the problem with Chimpy’s administration.

Anyway, it is good to see that the Blog at Pooh Corner is recruiting some new talent. Earlier today, they had this post up:

Which sums up the Blog at Pooh Corner really well.

    Yeah, Perino.
That’s some accurate doublespeak in short dyed hair if ever there was.

OTOH, another blond, Katie Couric, scored major points with this comment in her commencement speech at Princeton:

I’m sure you don’t need a newsflash that getting a job is no stroll down Nassau Street. I read a study recently that said only 20 percent of graduates who’ve applied for jobs have one right now. That’s down from 51 percent in 2007. In this economic climate, graduates of the Wilson School might actually have to get a job in Government!

There may be some opportunities in the Republican Party. They’re still looking for an effective spokesman, and the only person they can find so far is Rush Limbaugh….and he won’t take the job because he doesn’t want to give up his prescription plan.

  4. Good for her, raceynora. Still, I recall that she had Rush fucking Limbaugh as a commentator on her news show. WTF?

Pissed – I was as surprised as anyone by her speech – she is, after all, a commercial queen so she has on guests on to increase her ratings. Is the clock running on her walking her comments back?
