The Morning Quote

“I think, personally, [if the US government defaulted that it] would bring stability to the world markets.”

–Ted Yoho (R-FL) talking about the upcoming default that his party is engineering. And if by stability you mean world-wide Great Depression, well, duh.

I believe that if a 400 pound Silverback Mountain Gorilla were mated to Congressman Ted Yoho, and it carried Yoho off to the forests of the Virunga mountains, this would vastly improve the representation for Florida’s 3rd congressional district.

I don’t recommend this, however, as living with a companion of such inferior intellect would inflict too great a hardship on the gorilla.

      Dimitrios –

I watched a Great Ape at the Portland Zoo this weekend. He deliberately, slowly, climbed up to the netting on the top of the exhibit and methodically retrieved the bamboo shoots he wanted and carried them back down to the floor, where he proceded to enjoy the bounty of his work.

Never once did he fling poo or have a temper tantrum.

I for one welcome our Great Apes Overlords. It will be a step up from the current junta.

      Regards,

      TG
