The problem was…

…that Jovan Belcher’s girlfriend, Kasandra Perkins, should have had her own gun in her dead cold hands, according to Wayne LaPierre (NRA cheerleader), who accused Bob Costas of using the tragic shooting to “spew [his social agenda] all over America” and insisted crime would be reduced if more Americans owned guns.

No matter what the problem is, in Wayne LaPierre’s America, the answer is more guns. Talking about gun laws after a shoot-em-up tragedy is politicizing the problem, according to Wingnuttia. But if talking about it after it happens is wrong, then when is the right time? If talking about a Football Star (and not the first, eh OJ?) murdering his girlfriend with a gun and then killing himself is not appropriate while covering a football game, then when is it?

  1. As usual, the NRA (the most useless organization in America today) can be counted on to cheerlead for guns and death. How long will it be before these gun-lovers take their obssesion to the next level and begin giving their lovers BJs, which will end Americas gun problem at the climax.

  2. Minor correction: Jovan Belcher was not an “NFL star”. He wasn’t a household name; I’m an ardent NFL fan and I’ve never heard of him.

I’ve heard a lot of crap about how the Chiefs shouldn’t have played this past Sunday. Those people can go hang. We all mourn in different ways, and if playing the game helped the players, coaches, and staff get through this horrible tragedy, then STFU. I lost my Father one week before opening “Amadeus”, with me playing the title role. Should I have just quit the production? Should I have left the rest of the cast and crew and season ticket holders in the lurch?

Was doing the show hard? Hell yes. Would I do it again? You better believe it.

Sorry for the rant. Carry on.

  3. Isn’t that the discredited LaPierre; he of the Obama’s Re-election Gun-Ban-Apocalypse hysteria? Where are your predictions now, bitch?

  4. Bill O’Reilly is bloviating over at FOX Spews that Bob Costas should just STFU because even if Belcher did not have a gun, he could have strangled Ms. Perkins. I suppose that is true, but it would have been quite the unusual sight in the parking lot of the Chief’s practice facility, as the police sirens announced the impending arrival of the cops, Belcher with his hands around his own throat…
